Openings

I don't know. It's so very odd. Opening a show. I guess it really means just that: that you're now "open", so people can come in. Trick is, while I like people "coming in" as a general rule, I really am not such a big fan of "the rush".

Openings are like the mall after Thanksgiving...it's like GET IT NOW! IT WON'T BE HERE TOMORROW, I MUST HAVE IT NOW!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You get the idea.

I used to love that feeling, that rush, that...I MUST HAVE IT NOW feeling.

But these days...I'm quite content to be in "the run". Where a little group of people come every night to enjoy some theatre, to partake of a story, to witness the events that happen to and are caused by a group of characters, who, very much like the audience, have found themselves in some tights spots...so whatever shall they do?

You'll just have to come on out to "the run" and see...

  1. Oh you know how my heart aches that I can't be there to see this show! I love, love, love this script and I am certain that all the pieces of the puzzle have fallen brilliantly in place for this production. You, Jeanne, Rob, and Darrin? Brilliant, the lot of you! Have a great run!
